Now we have a very special Challenge this week... it has been chosen my our fabulous Teamie, Kate who will explain further....
Hi my name is Kate and this is my first time setting the challenge here at SFTW so I hope everybody enjoys it!
The theme for this challenge will be...
‘Card/project to make someone smile or cheer them up’.
We really look forward to seeing your entries!
Now there is a second part to this challenge and it’s one that I really hope you’d all like to take part in, though just to clarify, this second part is optional. We’d like to see you send your card/project to one of the children featured on the Post Pals website. Even better, make your card specifically with that child in mind.
Please log on to http://www.postpals.co.uk/ and have a look around the site.
Post Pals is an organisation that was set up to create smiles for children who suffer from life threatening and long term illnesses. We ask people to log on to send the children featured on the website ‘happy post’. When a child is very ill, often a visit from the postman can make their day. A cheery card or letter can make them feel less alone and bring welcome distraction from what they go through each day. To see the difference happy post can make, please watch THIS great video that was recently featured on the BBC3 TV show Russell Howard’s Good News. It can also be found on the Latest News page.
To send your card/project card to a Pal and brighten their day, please follow the 5 easy steps on the home page. We ask that you choose a Pal on the website and make a card for them. Please post a photo to your blog of the card and say which pal it’s for then link us to it. Here is the most important bit though… please then post the card to the address on your chosen child’s page. Please also remember to fill out the stats page (link to this is on the 5 easy steps) so we can see the card has been sent. We hope this challenge will raise more awareness of Post Pals and increase the amount of cards that are sent to the children to brighten their days.
We have a fab sponsor for this challenge and its Whiff of Joy stamps.
WOJ are kindly donating the 2 stamps below from the 'Happy Mail' collection
What a fabulous prize!!
So, get crafting everyone and we look forward to seeing your creations!
